Interchange++ vs blended pricing calculator
Compare two card payment quotes side by side: a blended flat rate against interchange plus scheme fees plus markup. See the monthly and yearly cost of each and which is cheaper for your takings. Free, no sign-up, nothing leaves your browser.
Use the rates from your own quotes or statements; the starting numbers are only an example. Monthly fees, terminal rental and chargeback fees are left out.
Two ways to pay for card payments
With blended pricing you pay one rate, sometimes plus a fixed fee, on every card payment. With interchange++ you pay the interchange fee that goes to the customer's bank, the scheme fee that goes to the card network, and the provider's own markup, each shown separately.
Which works out cheaper
It depends on your card mix and size. If most of your customers pay with consumer debit cards, where interchange is low, interchange++ often costs less because you only pay the markup on top of the real costs. In the UK and EU, interchange on consumer cards is capped at 0.2% for debit and 0.3% for credit. Use the averages from your own statements or quotes.
