The bank-side name check is live
Sign in and start a UK transfer. Before any money is released, SendPay requests the receiving bank's Confirmation of Payee response and shows whether the name matches, is a close match, does not match, or cannot be checked.
Public bank-detail pre-check
This public check tests the sort code and account number together. It does not contact the receiving bank or confirm a person's name.
The example is public test data. The account number stays in this browser; the checking rules load only after you press the button.
How the secure name check works
Sign in, create a UK transfer and enter the payee details. SendPay asks the receiving bank to compare the name and account type before the transfer can proceed. A mismatch or unavailable result is shown instead of being guessed.
