How to test your money app before launch
By SendPay Business · · 2 min read
The first customers of a money app forgive very little. If signing up is confusing or a payment page looks wrong, they leave and rarely come back. Testing every step before launch is the cheapest way to avoid that.
Walk every step yourself
Go through your app as a brand new customer would:
- Sign up with a fresh email address.
- Read every page and button out loud.
- Try each thing a customer can do, from start to finish.
- Note anything that made you stop and think.
Watch a few people use it
Ask three to five people who match your customers to try it while you watch quietly. Where they hesitate is where others will give up.
Test on different phones
Try an older phone, a small screen and a slow connection. Many of your customers will not have the newest handset.
Check your words and fees
Make sure every fee is shown before people pay, and that your pages say plainly who holds the money.
Fix, then test again
Fix the biggest problems first, then run the same test again. Two short rounds beat one long one.
Build it
Create your own financial platform.
Pick a template, name it, brand it, preview every page before you pay. Your brand, your users, your fees.
