Compound interest calculator
See how a starting amount and regular monthly saving grow at any interest rate, and how much of the total is interest. Any currency. Free, no sign-up, nothing leaves your browser.
Interest is added monthly, and each monthly saving is added at the end of the month. Before any tax. This is a calculator, not advice.

Why time matters most
With compound interest, each year's interest is worked out on a bigger balance than the year before. The same amount saved for twenty years instead of ten can earn far more than twice the interest.
Check the real rate
Compare accounts by their yearly rate (AER in the UK), which already includes how often interest is added. Remember that prices rise too: savings only grow in real terms if the rate beats inflation.
