Crypto wallet address checker
Paste a Bitcoin or Ethereum address to check its format and built-in checksum before you send, and see what kind of address it is. Free, no sign-up, nothing leaves your browser.
The examples are public sample addresses. A valid result means the address has no typing or copying mistakes, not that it belongs to the person you mean to pay. Always check the network too.
Address vs private key
The address is public, like an account number. The private key is secret and proves you own the coins at that address. Anyone with the private key can move the coins, so it must never be shared.
Why mistakes are costly
Crypto transfers usually can't be reversed. Crypto sent to the wrong address or on the wrong network may be lost for good, which is why careful checks matter. Copy and paste the address rather than typing it, make sure you're sending on the right network, and send a small test amount first when using a new address.
