Marketplace payouts: how to pay your sellers automatically and keep your fee

A marketplace is two products in one: buyers pay you, and you pay sellers. The hard part has always been the second half. The marketplace template does both, under your brand, with your fee kept on every order.

How an order flows

A buyer pays £64 at checkout. Your platform takes its fee, say 10%, and pays the seller £57.60. Both sides get a receipt, and your console shows the order, the payout and the £6.40 that stayed with you.

Sellers sign up with you

Sellers open an account on your platform, verify their identity at signup, and get paid to it. They can spend from it with a card or move it to their bank. They are your customers.

What to know before you launch

Holding buyers' money before paying sellers is a regulated activity. On our platforms the money is held by regulated partners; your platform operates the marketplace. We tell you in writing what applies to your model before you pay.
